The goal of the COALESCE study is to gain a better understanding of long-term health outcomes after curative therapies in both children and adults with sickle cell disease. This information will help to develop a more personalized approach to curative therapies.
Specifically, we will learn more about kidney, lung, and heart function both before and after curative therapies. We also want to know from patients and families with sickle cell disease what health problems are important for us to learn more about.
